The New York Times has promoted Grace Maalouf to the post of editor on International. Maalouf joined The Times in 2019 on the flex desk, and since then has worked across sports, graphics, politics and the live desks.
She has previously worked as a news editor and standards editor at HuffPost and was a web editing consultant at UNDP in New York, where she also interned earlier. She was also a reporter/blogger at The New York Times Local East Village.
She also taught English for a year in public elementary schools in Marseille, France.
Maalouf has a B.A. in political science from Baylor University and a M.A. in journalism and Near Eastern studies from New York University.
