Nine Entertainment Co. in Australia has named Tory Maguire executive editor, overseeing metro mastheads The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, Brisbane Times and WAToday.
Previously, she held the post of national editor, where she oversaw coverage in key areas including national politics, business and world.
She is also a founding committee member of the Australian chapter of the Online News Association
Maguire launched the Australian edition of The Huffington Post as editor-in-chief. She was with News Corp Australia for over 15 years, serving as national opinion editor and as a journalist.
She was deputy editor and then editor at The Punch. She was also a political reporter and assistant editor at The Daily Telegraph.
Maguire graduated from Southern Cross University.
