Newsquest has tapped Katie French as regional editor for Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. She was previously editor at the Basingstoke Gazette and Andover Advertiser, Newsquest.
In her new role, she will be overseeing the Bucks Free Press, the Reading Chronicle, the Slough Observer and the Bracknell News. She has also worked freelance and was a news reporter and then served as acting assistant night news editor at MailOnline.
She was also deputy news editor at Trinity Mirror and has reported for Local World Media.
French has a B.A. from the University of Plymouth, where she was EIC of the student newspaper.
