News UK has hired Cathy Adams as a senior content editor of The Times and The Sunday Times travel sections.
Adams joins from The Independent, where she was head of travel.
Adams has also been featured in The Guardian, the London Evening Standard, The Sunday Times, National Geographic Traveller (UK), CNN, Lonely Planet, Escapism, and Square Mile.
She was also an associate editor at Square Up Media and has served as a reporter covering engineering, industrials and mining at City A.M. She was also a staff writer at Money Observer and an editorial assistant at Moneywise.
She had previously interned at Mail on Sunday, Ink Publishing, C21 Media, Cambridge News and S Magazine (Sunday Express).
Adams has a M.A. in magazine journalism from City, University of London.
