The New York Times received 38 Malofiej International Infographic Awards, which are considered the most prestigious journalism graphics contest globally honoring exceptional work in infographics and data visualization.
The Times also received the “Best of Show” print award won by the Opinion graphics team.
Additionally, the company also won other awards, including in the “Climate Change and Environment” category for its print graphics, “Best Digital Map,” and print and digital awards for the “Human Rights” category.
The Times also won 33 medals, including two gold medals in Features and in Opinion and Visual columns.
“The department has been pushing hard to keep raising the bar in information visualization, so it’s a real honor to see our explanatory and investigative work receive this recognition,” said Archie Tse, Graphics director.
