New York paper editor Tingley to retire
Glens Falls Post-Star editor Ken Tingley has announced that he will be retiring from his post on July 17. Tingley has been at the Post-Star, which is in New York, for more than 30 years, and he spent 21 years as the paper’s editor.
Tingley said “working from home during the coronavirus pandemic and spending more time with his wife and son was an awakening.”
Previously, Tingley was sports news editor at Kingsport Times-News. Before that, he was working at The Daily Star as sports editor. He has also held the post of sports writer at both Plattsburgh Press-Republican and Ashland Daily Independent.
Tingley is a B.A. in journalism from Eastern Kentucky University.
