The Associated Press has promoted Sophie Rosenbaum to the post of news editor for social media and audience engagement.
Rosenbaum joined the AP in 2018 as an editor on the East desk. She has also worked with the speed team to develop a speed tracking tool that helps measure and improve the competitiveness of the AP’s coverage.
Previously, she was at Time Magazine, where she has worked as a news editor and senior news editor. She has also reported for the New York Post and the New York Daily News. She was also a freelance reporter at the Gotham Gazette and has interned at NBC.
Rosenbaum has a B.A. from Binghamton University and a M.A. from CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
