NBC’s Sotomayor joins The Washington Post as congressional reporter

The Washington Post has welcomed Marianna Sotomayor to its national politics team as a reporter covering Congress.

Sotomayor comes from NBC News where she has been for more than 5 years, joining as a Tim Russert fellow and working as a general assignment field producer covering national political stories in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, including Capitol Hill and breaking news for “Nightly News” and “TODAY” show segments.

Later on, she held the post of associate producer and then served as a political campaign embed.

Additionally, she has also worked at CNN, MSN Canada, Aol, CNBC, “Meet the Press,” Sydney Morning Herald, Euronews, Seattle Times, The Hill, The Age, Yahoo, The Boston Globe and more.

Sotomayor is a B.A. in political communication, journalism and mass communication from the George Washington University and holds a Master’s degree in media and strategic communication from the George Washington University.
