NBC News has promoted Benjamin Kamisar to the post of deputy political editor. He was previously a staff writer in the political unit. Before that, he was at The Hill, where he was a campaign reporter and before that, he worked as a staff writer primarily serving as a breaking news reporter.
He has also interned at Trove in Washington, the Dallas Morning News, Education Week, The McClatchy Company, and Austin American-Statesman.
Kamisar has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
