Micah Grimes, head of social media at NBC News, has left his post and moved to Austin, Texas to join streaming TV startup Atmosphere as vice president.
Grimes had been with NBC News for more than 5 years, joining as a social media editor of NBC Nightly News.
He has also worked at ABC News as a social media editor and then serving as an editorial manager, social media. He was also an assignment editor at WFTS-TV.
Grimes also served in an editorial role at Bay News 9.
Grimes is a B.A. in broadcast journalism from Troy University.
