Christina Zhao is joining NBC News as a politics editor. Previously, she was a senior editor at Newsweek, where she also worked as a deputy news editor and news reporter, covering China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and US politics.
She also served as writer/sub-editor for Snapchat Discover and Health desk at MailOnline. She has also worked freelance for The Times in London and contributed to The Independent’s tech and business desk. She has also interned at The Bureau of Investigative Journalism and Archant.
Zhao has a LLB from the University of Auckland and a master’s degree in investigative journalism from City, University of London.
