Ramesh Ponnuru has been promoted to the post of editor at the National Review.
In his new role, Ponnuru replaces Rich Lowry who will step down after 24 years. Lowry will continue to serve in his current job until the end of the year and will transition to the role of CEO in January 2022.
Ponnuru is a veteran National Review editor having joined in 1999. He has also been a columnist at Bloomberg Opinion for over 10 years.
He is also a visiting fellow at American Enterprise Institute.
Ponnuru is a graduate of Princeton University.
