The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, a non-profit organization, has tapped Jessica McKenzie as an associate editor overseeing the organization’s climate change coverage.
She begins October 18.
Recently, she has been freelancing for National Geographic, The New York Times, Grist and other outlets. She has also served as the managing editor of the tech news site Civicist.
She has also interned at The Nation Magazine.
McKenzie has won awards and honors from the Society for Advanced Business Editing and Writing, the North American Agricultural Journalists Writing Awards, and The Newswomen’s Club of New York.
McKenzie is a graduate of Barnard College in New York.
