Kimberly Leonard has moved to Miami for Insider to cover the 2022 midterms, Florida politics and the going on round the 2024 presidential race as a policy and politics correspondent.
She previously held the same post, based out of the D.C. bureau, reporting on congressional politics and negotiations, including everything from economic recovery legislation to cannabis reform and business regulations.
She has also worked as a senior health care policy reporter at the company. She has also served as a senior health policy reporter at the Washington Examiner and has also worked at U.S. News & World Report for over 4 years.
She has also freelanced for the Washington Post, The Atlantic and Kaiser Health News and has also interned at Time magazine.
Leonard is a University of Richmond graduate.
