Adriana Lacy is joining RJI: The Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute as a columnist, focusing on audience engagement and best practices for large and small newsrooms.
Lacy is a freelance journalist and was recently working as a CrowdTangle specialist | PRO Unlimited at Facebook.
She is also an adjunct lecturer in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California.
She is also the founder of Journalism Mentors, a website dedicated to advancing early-career journalists through mentoring and paid media opportunities.
Lacy also writes a newsletter called The Intersection, which focuses on the intersection of journalism, tech, and product.
She was also a senior associate, audience and growth, at Axios, and an audience engagement editor at the Los Angeles Times.
Lacy has also served as SEO and social media intern and then as a senior news associate at The New York Times.
She also promoted The New York Times’ “Get With the Times” college program through advertising the event on social media, partnering with other organizations on campus, and planning Get With the Times events on Penn State’s campus.
She was also campus editor-at-large at HuffPost.
Lacy is a B.A. in journalism from Penn State University and a M.S. in digital audience strategy from Arizona State University.
