The Los Angeles Times has promoted Samantha Melbourneweaver to the post of assistant managing editor, audience. Previously, she was an audience engagement director, and before that, she served as deputy audience engagement director.
She was also a social media director at Southern California News Group and has worked as a mobile producer and reporter at The Arizona Republic. She has also interned at The Dallas Morning News, the Arizona Capitol Times and USA Today.
Melbourneweaver graduated from Arizona State University.
