Chris Haxel, a reporter at KCUR 89.3, the flagship NPR station in Kansas City, Missouri has left after 3 years.
He will be joining the Scripps Washington bureau in D.C. as a senior producer to make investigative podcasts.
Prior to joining KCUR, Haxel was a reporter, covering breaking news, courts and enterprise at The Lansing State Journal. He has also covered military and country government, and cops and courts for The Manhattan Mercury, the daily newspaper serving communities of Manhattan and Riley counties in Kansas.
