Cole Johnson is now a multimedia journalist at WTVF-TV, the CBS affiliate in Nashville, Tennessee.
Previously, he was a multi-skilled journalist at TEGNA, where he launched a social media news segment gaining hundreds of weekly views, among other tasks. Before that, he was a reporter at Hearst Television and has also served as a political TV reporter at The Daily Iowan.
He was also a journalist ambassador at University of Iowa and has served as a video production intern at Townsquare Media.
He was also one of the 33 media professionals selected from 1,300 applicants to participate in a highly competitive 9-week Summer Fellowship Program at IRTS Foundation. Johnson has also worked as a video campaign consultant at EGR International.
Johnson was also an executive TV producer and then served as TV news director at The Daily Iowan. He was also production assistant, City Channel 4 at City of Iowa City and a communications intern at the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Johnson holds a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from the University of Iowa.
