CNN has appointed Allison Hoffman as executive editor of CNN Politics.
Previously, she held the post of senior editor, politics and policy, at the network.
Before joining CNN in 2018, Hoffman was a national editor at Politico. Prior to that, she was a senior editor at Bloomberg and has also served in the same capacity at Tablet.
She has also reported for The Associated Press and Los Angeles Times and was a factchecker at The New Yorker.
Hoffman is a graduate of Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
