Health Service Journal names Townsend correspondent

Emily Townsend

Emily Townsend has joined the Health Service Journal as a correspondent focused on mental health and learning disabilities.

She joins from Archant, where she recently was an investigations correspondent. Townsend has been with Archant for 6 years, previously working as a chief reporter, reporter, senior reporter and intern. She has also interned at Guardian News & Media.

She has also worked at South West Londoner and was a contributor at The Independent. She also interned at Cambridge News.

Townsend graduated from the University of Essex and is a NCTJ-certified journalist.
