Katie French is joining Sky News as a chief sub editor. Recently, she was an editor at Newsquest. Before that, she served as head of news, North Hampshire.
Her new role begins next month.
She has also freelanced for The Telegraph and was a news reporter and then acting assistant night news editor at MailOnline. She was also deputy news editor at Trinity Mirror and a news reporter at Local World Media.
French graduated from the University of Plymouth, where she was editor-in-chief of the student newspaper.
