Katie Barlow has been appointed Washington chief legal correspondent at Fox’s WTTG TV station. Previously, she was a reporter.

Paul McGonagle, WTTG VP-news director, said:

“Katie has the amazing ability to make complex issues simple to understand. Fox 5 is proud to be the only station in the DC market bold enough to hire a chief legal correspondent to weigh in on everything from the Supreme Court to District Court.”

She also hosts a political podcast Words Matter and co-founded Circuit Breaker, a site focusing on news about the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

She is also a former lawyer and was a social media editor at SCOTUSblog in Washington.
