The New York Times has appointed Kathleen Flynn late editor for the new Seoul newsroom.
Flynn has been with The Times for 14 years, holding various roles, including assigning editor, editor on the foreign-national copy desk and staff editor.
Before that, she was with the News & Observer for 11 years, also working as a copy editor.
Flynn is also the author of The Jane Austen Project: A Novel, published 2017 by HarperCollins.
Flynn has a M.A. in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
