Entertainment Weekly taps Rothkopf as senior editor, movies

Joshua Rothkopf has joined Entertainment Weekly as a senior editor, movies, organizing and editing the title’s movies section, movies features and digital movie content. He was previously the global deputy film editor and film critic at Time Out New York.

His work has appeared in publications including The Village Voice, The Chicago Reader and more. He was also chief film critic at In These Times from 1999 to 2003 and has recently served as chairman of the New York Film Critics Circle from 2012 to 2014.

He also served on juries at the Tribeca Film Festival, the Sarasota Film Festival, the Hamptons International Film Festival, FearNYC, and others. He also teaches at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies, and is a contributor to several media outlets.
