Rachel Wearmouth has joined the Daily Mirror as a senior political correspondent.
She comes from HuffPost, where she was a political correspondent.
Wearmouth has also worked as a politics and investigations reporter, the Sunday Post at DC Thomson.
She has also taught newswriting and public affairs modules to journalism students on NCTJ-accredited course at University of Sunderland. She was also a political reporter/content editor at The Journal.
She has also served as a multimedia journalist at Newcastle-based newspapers – The Journal, The Chronicle and Sunday Sun and their associated platforms.
She was also a reporter at The Northern Echo and a newsreader at ALLFM 96.9.
Wearmouth is a B.A. from University of Manchester and is also NCTJ-certified.
