The Daily Herald, Everett, has named Rudi Alcott publisher, succeeding Josh O’Connor, the publisher since May 2013 and president of Sound Publishing since 2018.
Alcott’s new role begins September 7, and he will focus on bolstering audience development and expediting the newspaper’s digital transformation.
Currently, Alcott oversees Sound Publishing’s King County Newspaper Group and is the company’s vice president of advertising. Previously, Alcott was director of digital revenue.
Alcott previously served as publisher of Federal Way Mirror for 12 years and was director of circulation marketing at King County Journal for 6 years.
Alcott graduated from Anderson University.
