The Courier Journal’s breaking news reporter Emma Austin has left to pursue a career in nursing.
Austin had been with the Journal since 2019, joining as a trending producer.
Previously, she has interned at Louisville Courier Journal and Lexington Herald-Leader.
Austin holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Spanish from Western Kentucky University, where she also worked at the student newspaper.
