CNN taps Schlinkert as editor for CNN Plus

Sam Schlinkert

CNN has promoted Sam Schlinkert to the post of editor for CNN Plus. Schlinkert has been with CNN for 6 years, previously serving as a social media producer.

Before joining CNN, he was an associate social media editor at BuzzFeed and has also worked at Newsweek and The Daily Beast as a social media intern, social media coordinator and deputy social media editor and audience coordinator.

Schlinkert is a graduate of Duke University, where he also contributed to the student paper.
