CNN names McNutt senior travel editor

Emily McNutt

Emily McNutt is now a senior travel editor at CNN Underscored. She joins from The Points Guy, where she worked for 6 years, most recently as a global news editor.

There, she also launched The Points Guy’s first-ever international outpost, The Points Guy UK. Before that, she served as an associate editor and then as a news editor. She has also worked as a freelancer in the editorial department with credit rating analysts at Insurance and Global Fixed Income Research.

She also worked in publishing credit rating changes on S&P’s platform RatingsDirect.

Additionally, she has interned at Times Union in New York and has reported for Vox Magazine and the Columbia Missourian.

McNutt has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master’s degree in magazine journalism from New York University.
