CNN is closing its offices to workers who do not need to be there in person to produce shows or provide other essential functions for the network’s broadcast operations. These employees will be working from home.
The move comes amid a COVID-19 surge.
CNN, which had been using its studios full-scale, will now revert back to “flash studios” — small studios that can be operated remotely by fewer people. Also, staff members coming to the office will be required to wear masks.
