CNN appoints Rocha executive editor of breaking news

Veronica Rocha

CNN has promoted Veronica Rocha to the post of executive editor of breaking news for CNN Digital. Previously, she served as a breaking news editor.

Prior to joining CNN, Rocha was at the Los Angeles Times, where she was part of a team that won a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news in 2016. During her time at the Times, she covered many topics, including California wildfires, criminal justice, weather and celebrities.

Rocha earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University Northridge.
