Chehayeb joins Al Jazeera as Beirut correspondent

Kareem Chehayeb has joined Al Jazeera English as a Beirut correspondent, covering Lebanon and Syria.

He comes from The Public Source, a bilingual Beirut-based independent media organization where he was an investigative reporter. He has also freelanced for The New York Times, the Washington Post, Middle East Eye, Foreign Policy, and more.

He has also reported for The Daily Star.

Chehayeb has a B.A. from Boston University and an M.A. from King’s College London.
