Chao to join Healthline Media as managing editor of global news

Angela Chao

Angela Chao will be joining Healthline, a premium health, science and wellness publication under Red Ventures, as managing editor of global news.

Currently, she is executive producer, 11 Alive/WXIA-TV at TEGNA in Atlanta, Georgia. She has also worked as a freelance producer/writer at Lonely Planet and was a supervising producer, Weather.com/The Weather Channel, at The Weather Company, an IBM Business.

She has also worked at Gannett and was editor and digital producer at Patch.com. She has also worked at CNN and has reported and produced for KOMU 8 & Mid-Missouri CW in Columbia, Missouri. She was also a special project multimedia producer at BusinessWeek.

Chao has a B.A. in broadcast journalism and sociology from Washington State University and a M.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
