Sydney Brownstone will be joining The Seattle Times investigative team. Recently, she was a reporter, covering homelessness.
Her new role begins in November.
Prior to joining The Times, she an online editor at KUOW Public Radio, which serves people in the Puget Sound region with NPR Programming and local news. She has also written for The Stranger in Seattle, Fast Company, a leading progressive business media brand in New York and Village Voice Media.
She was a senior fellow at Mother Jones and an assistant editor at The L Magazine in New York.
She has also written for Washington Square News.
Brownstone has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and environmental studies from New York University.
