BGA and McCormick Foundation form partnership

The Better Government Association and the Robert R. McCormick Foundation have formed the Illinois Solutions Partnership, a collaboration building on both company’s missions in an effort to address the state’s challenges through investigative and enterprise reporting and solutions-focused journalism.

The new partnership will be launched with $10 million in McCormick Foundation grants over the next five years, with BGA devoting reporters and other resources.

A range of diverse journalists will also be recruited.

The Illinois Solutions Partnership will be a nonprofit enterprise and both parties will be equal parties in the venture, overseen by a board with equal representation from the BGA and McCormick.
