BBC News has appointed Chris Gibson as editor of the culture team, covering arts, media, music, entertainment, gaming, fashion and more.
Prior to joining the BBC in 2019, he was executive producer, News Xchange, at European Broadcasting Union. He has also worked as a New York and UN producer, politics producer – Network News, and assistant editor – BBC World Service at the BBC.
He has also worked at ITN and ITV.
Gibson has a B.A. from the University of Warwick and a postgraduate diploma in broadcast journalism from Cardiff University.
