BBC journalist Galer departs

Sophia Smith Galer

Sophia Smith Galer, a visual journalist at BBC, is leaving.

Galer has been with the network for over 4 years and has previously presented VTs and digital videos for areas of the BBC outside of the BBC World Service, including BBC One and the award-winning digital platform BBC Ideas.

She has also produced social content for BBC Future and BBC Culture.

Galer has also interned at NBC News and was co-host at Radio Beirut.

Galer has an M.A. in broadcast journalism from City University London.
