BBC News online has tapped Hazel Shearing as an education correspondent. She has been with the BBC since 2019.
Previously, she was at BuzzFeed, where she worked as a breaking news reporter and curation editor, and then as lead curation editor and reporter. She was also a reporter at The Sunday Times and has interned at The Times and BBC South Today.
Shearing is a University of Cambridge graduate.
