BBC appoints Burgess executive editor U.K. News content

Richard Burgess

Richard Burgess is now executive editor, UK news content, at BBC. Previously, he held the post of UK news editor.

Burgess has been with the BBC for over 11 years, and has previously also served as head of BBC Sports News and BBC radio sport. He was also a sports journalist at Manchester Evening News.
