Battaglia joins McClatchy as Washington correspondent

Danielle Battaglia will be joining the McClatchy D.C. bureau as Washington correspondent for North Carolina. She was previously a political reporter at The News & Observer.

She has also worked as a reporter, digital content editor and cops and courts reporter at The Greensboro News and Record in North Carolina Area. She has also interned at BH Media Group in North Carolina, WBTV in Charlotte and Alexandria Times Newspaper in Alexandria, VA.

Battaglia has a B.A. from Lenoir-Rhyne University.
