Bado named managing editor of Hotline at National Journal

Kirk A. Bado

The National Journal has promoted Kirk A. Bado to the post of managing editor of Hotline, which provides daily political briefings.

Bado joined the Journal in 2019 as an Atlantic Media fellow and recently served as House campaign reporter. He was also a digital editor at USA Today and a Pulliam fellow at The Arizona Republic. He has previously also reported for USA Today Network Tennessee.

His work has also appeared in Reuters.

Bado earned his bachelor’s degree from Belmont University and a master’s in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
