Laura Barrero has joined Axios Charlotte as a reporter.
In her new role, she will produce and write news and lifestyle stories about things that matter to Charlotte readers, from new restaurants to neighborhoods to big breaking news.
Barrero comes from WBTV, where she was a news producer. She also held the same post at ABC 7 WWSB-TV. She has also worked as a producer, executive producer, reporter and anchor at PBS – WRUF-TV.
She has also written for NPR WUFT-FM.
Barrero graduated from University of Florida.
