Axios has tapped Sara Goo as editor-in-chief and Aja Whitaker-Moore as its executive editor.
Previously, Goo was executive editor. She has also served as deputy managing editor and then managing editor at NPR. She was also a senior digital editor at Pew Research Center and was a senior news director, national business editor and reporter at The Washington Post.
She was also a staff writer at The Wall Street Journal.
Goo graduated from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a B.A. in journalism and mass communication.
Recently, Whitaker-Moore held the post of managing editor, business. Prior to joining Axios, she was global editor-in-chief, fixed income at Acuris.
She was also with Debtwire for over 11 years, where she worked as a senior reporter, assistant editor for high yield, deputy editor for North America, managing editor for North America and deputy editor-in-chief.
She has also reported for Mergermarket and Tampa Bay Business Journal.
Whitaker-Moore has a B.A. in journalism from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
