Emily Nelson, the editor of the Personal Journal section of The Wall Street Journal, sent out the following staff departure announcement on Thursday:
I have news that is exciting for Leslie and a loss for us. She has accepted the no. 2 job at Cosmopolitan magazine.I’ll be brief because Cosmo may be announcing this soon and I wanted you all to hear the news first. There’s just no way to sum up here all the wonderful talents Leslie has brought to the section. We will miss working with her, and look forward to toasting her at greater length before she leaves.Please join me in congratulating her on this exciting new step in her career.
