Eimi Yamamitsu, a news assistant at The New York Times, has left the newspaper and joined Reuters this week.
Before joining the Times last year, Yamamitsu was with BuzzFeed where she started as a news reporter in 2015 and was then later on promoted to the post of adaptation editor in 2018. Previously, she has also held the post of media intern at CNN.
Apart from these posts, Yamamitsu has also worked as an editorial assistant at Asahi Press where she helped support an editorial staff in all activities which led to the publication of the monthly magazine.
Yamamitsu is a B.A. in global political economy from Waseda University and a M.L. in international relations from Peking University. She also holds a Master’s of Public Policy from The University of Tokyo.
