Yahoo Finance hires two new staffers

Yahoo Finance has added two business journalists to its staff.

Nicole Sinclair has been named markets correspondent. She came to the company from Bloomberg Television, where she served as a senior producer. Sinclair previously served as research director of CNBC’s “Mad Money” with Jim Cramer. Sinclair has also worked at TheStreet.com and Goldman Sachs.

In addition, Alexis Christoforous has joined Yahoo Finance as an anchor and reporter for Yahoo Finance’s two daily business shows, “Market Movers” and “Midday Movers.” She previously worked for CBS News and Bloomberg Television, where she was Bloomberg’s first journalist to report from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

“It’s really exciting to be building up the team here at Yahoo Finance with top-flight talent like Nicole and Alexis,” said editor in chief Andy Serwer in an email to Talking Biz News. “They are both amazing additions to Yahoo and will help us grow in video, breaking news, social and just generally with differentiated content.”
