Steven Russolillo, a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, has resigned to accept a position at Goldman Sachs.

In a blog post last week, Russolillo wrote, “After more than seven years with the company, this is my last week at The Wall Street Journal. It has been an absolute pleasure serving MoneyBeat and WSJ readers on a daily basis.”

Russolillo will be a financial writer in Goldman Sachs’ asset management group. Writing white papers and research reports. It’s not a public relations job.

He was markets reporter for The Journal and had worked in various roles for the Journal and Dow Jones Newswires since August 2007.

He’s a 2007 graduate of the University of Delaware and is currently getting his MBA at Baruch College in New York.
