WSJ’s Ngo hired by Hearst CT/Times-Union

Wall Street Journal graphics editor Vivien Ngo has been hired by Hearst Connecticut newspapers as a data visualization developer in its newly formed joint data team.

The team will also do work for the Albany Times-Union newspaper.

Ngo specializes in data visualization and interactives. She has been at The Journal since July 2019.

Before that, she was a data journalism fellow at Enigma Technologies Inc. She also was a software engineer intern at Amazon.

Ngo holds a master’s degree in journalism and one in computer science from Columbia University.
