Christopher Chung, a publishing editor at The Wall Street Journal, is leaving to become managing editor of SmartNews.
Smart News is a news aggregation app. Chung will continue to be based in New York and will start next week.
For the past 15 months, Chung was a publishing editor for U.S. and politics news, editing, managing and publisingh breaking news and features. He previously was a senior mobile editor and associate mobile editor. He also spent five years as a reporter for Dow Jones Newswires.
He also worked at Smash Magazine and Tennis Magazine.
