WSJ/Dow Jones market team names assistant news editor

Dow Jones Newswires managing editor Michael Casey and news editor Patrick Sullivan made the following staff announcement:

We are pleased to announce that Bradley Davis has been promoted to assistant news editor on the combined New York Market Talk team where he will continue to help manage our foreign exchange and broad Money content streams for Dow Jones Newswires and the joint DJ/WSJ FX Trader service.

Brad joined the Market Talk desk as a copy editor in June, and quickly led the charge to make sure DJ FX Trader was providing the best live commentary and insight on key developments in the FX and Treasury markets. Brad is constantly busy, be it explaining the quirks of the market to a new reporter, monitoring market chatter and bank research or populating the popular @djfxtrader Twitter stream throughout the New York day, and some weekends, as FX never really sleeps. Brad also edits columns from our FX strategist-journalists.

Previously Brad spent two years as a reporter following the ups and downs of the currency and Treasury markets.

Brad has a M.A. from Columbia University and a B.A from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

A former Dow Jones Newspaper Fund intern, Brad has worked for Barron’s, the Huffington Post and was Managing Editor of the Daily Nebraskan.
